Below are a couple of pictures from my 1st Car Detailing business in Calgary, when I was in my early 30s. Back when I was 30, I started The Spot Doctor as a Carpet & Upholstery Steam Cleaning Business, having already worked as a Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Technician for over 5 years for such companies as The Bay Home Cleaning, Eatons Home Cleaning, Woodwards Home Cleaning and a couple of others for about 4 years. While working for The Bay, I exclusively did Upholstery Steam Cleaning for about 18 months, so I have tonnes of experience that has helped me with Detail Cleaning Car Interiors. After two years of operating The Spot Doctor, I began offering Interior Car Detailing Services, and soon after these pictures were taken, I changed my company name to Detail Master to reflect my new primary business model. From 1997 to 2002, I operated Detail Master Car Detailing, detailing around 25 vehicles per week, all spring and summer long. I was a much younger man back then. In the pictures below, you can see me on the right at 32, and my older brother offering some tips, as older brothers do, while our father took the picture. Above my van, you can see the Chinook Centre Sign, while this picture was taken in the Home Depot parking lot. This location lies at the crossroads of McLeod Trail and Glenmore Trail in South Calgary.
I found an old Flyer. I used to place this flyer on Car windshields in Commercial Business Districts in Calgary, and, surprisingly, I would often receive calls the very next day from the same areas I had placed them in the day before. Back then, this was my Best form of advertising. How times have changed.
